The Landmark Lodge Restaurant and Christmas Gift Shoppe are also open daily from 8am to 7pm Sunday – Thursday and 8am to 9pm Friday & Saturday.
Save 10% off your meal in the restaurant by showing your tree receipt and then get 15% off any purchases in the Gift Shoppe including our famous warmed apple cider donuts by showing your Restaurant receipt….what a deal.
On Weekends, Santa will be on hand so children can sit on his lap and whisper their wishes in his ear while mom and dad snap the perfect photos for your Christmas card this year. There are also olde fashioned horse drawn wagon rides through the forest. Everyone loves to hear the horses clip clopping along and the bells around their necks jingling away.

White Pines Forest State Park is the perfect backdrop for this timeless holiday tradition. The park offers rolling hills, a marvelous forest filled with hiking trails that skirt meandering creeks and limestone bluffs, and many species of wildlife including deer, chipmunks, wild turkeys. For guests looking to warm up after an afternoon in the great outdoors, the Restaurant located in the massive log cabin lodge, known far and wide for their famed home style cooking, is a favorite stop and at Christmastime there isn’t anything more magical and memorable than the frosted window panes, a glowing fire in the hearth and hundreds of Christmas lights to dazzle the senses. The Lodge is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day until the Sunday before Christmas and boasts Paul Bunyan sized entrees and savory desserts.
The park offers even more hidden treasures - cozy little Hansel & Gretel style Cabins with fireplaces which are nestled among the pine trees creating a nostalgic little village. All of the historic cabins have hand hewn log beds and old fashioned trundle beds for the children.
There's more - for the past 29 years, The Pines Playhouse, located in the Lodge, has produced the hilarious show, "Scrooge the Comedy". It's a wild and zany version of Charles Dicken's immortal classic, "A Christmas Carole", and uses audience participation. The play is perfect for all ages, offering an afternoon or evening of wholesome family fun. Performances run mostly Thursday through Sunday each week beginning Thanksgiving Weekend.
