Robert Simon	Hello. My wife and I were part of the group mg car group at lunch today. I wanted to tell you that we thought the luncheon buffet was fabulout! I especially liked the pork cutlet with its pineapple flavoring, and the hot rhubarb dessert was very very good. My wife liked the potato and cheese dish, and the crispy onion wings were done just right. Your organization did a great job and we will be back there again!

Bonnie and Bud	August 12th, 2010 - Cabin #8 This is an ironic love story that spans 60 years and we felt the need to share. We are celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary - imagine! We were married 60 years ago in the village of Ashton which is about 28 miles from the Pines. In those days Hotels and Motels were not very common in this area so where to spend a honeymoon? As high school sweethearts; we spent many fun times here at the park and remembered the "cabins". So Bud called and made the reservations, explaining that we would be having a large 7:00 wedding and it would be late when we would arrive. The clerk said, "not to worry", the key to our cabin would be put behind the mirror in the mens' rest room at the main lodge, and it was! We awoke the next morning to lots of giggling! Of course it was obvious that we were honeymooners with the car decorated parked next to the cabin. Twenty-five years later we found ourselves celebrating our anniversary in the Philippines with the Air Force. In 2000 for our 50th anniversary we were able to return to Ashton and decided to once again celebrate by coming back to the Pines. A call was made and once again explained that with large open house and dinner after, we would be late in arriving. Again the clerk said, "not to worry", the key would be in a white envelope taped to the door of the office at the main lodge. And it was! Some things never change and then some do. We awoke much earlier, no decorated car and no giggling. Bud is a CMS USAF retired and we now live a place called Niceville, Florida but "home" will always be in beautiful Northern Illinois. Being so blessed at the ages of 79 and 80, we were able to return once again to celebrate our 60th anniversary. The change this time was when Bud called to make the reservations, the clerk assured us that the "cabins" were available - in fact there were two, one regular and one "sweetheart". Without missing a beat, Bud said that "oh, the regular one would be just fine that he would have his sweetheart with him." This time around we arrived much earlier, in time for a really nice dinner at the lodge which to our utter amazement was complimentary. What a place! Thanks White Pines State Park for remaining the same quaint, quiet, and peaceful place in this every changing world and making these anniversaries so special for us. The Greenfields Bonnie and Bud P.S. God willing, we will return for our 70th anniversary. Keep the light on!

Don Karcher	White Pines Staff- First, thanks to whomever responsible for finding and sending my suspenders. Next time I don my suit I won't have to fear losing my trousers. kevin and debbie	My husband Kevin and I were just guests back in December 2009 for a week end get away. We stayed in one of the quad Cabins, we had such a wonderful time!!! The cabin was warm and cozy, the resturant in the lodge was just great!!! WOnderful fried chicken and great pies!!! We are looking forward to coming back in March when the lodge and cabin opens up for the season!!

kim and nick	Hi Beth! I just wanted to let you know we had the most amazing time in Costa Rica!! Chad is so nice and really made this a unique experience for us! His place is beautiful and all of the tours were fantastic! We really felt we got to experience the area and culture more than we would have if we stayed at a resort. We had the most amazing roll, the dynamite roll, at your daughter's sushi place. The Disco was really fun, they had some good Dj's a couple of nights. The people were very friendly and the country is soooooo beautiful. We are jealous that you are out there for a couple of months! Julianne	This was our 1st trip to White Pines. We will be back again! Our 2 kids, ages 2 and 4 loved it more than anything else we've done. My 4 year old asked if we could move to the cabin for "100 years". Walking the trails each day was wonderful. We were so happy to be able to see so much beautiful nature. After the horrible rain June 19, 2009, we realized that we were no longer getting married outside. :) The transition into the lodge was perfect and it was as if it was meant to be done there in the first place. Robin Green	I had the pleasure of attending the Theater Hike of "Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farms" Saturday Aug 16th. the experience was fun, relaxing (yep! in between the hikes!) and very entertaining. My granddaughter and two great-nieces have a lasting memory of a pleasant afternoon together and a new understanding of quality reading of some of the stories read by Grandma and Aunt robin many years ago. Kim Ziemann	I have not been to White Pines in about 10 years and I MISS IT! I remember staying in the wonderful cabins, hiking the fabulous trails and watching the fish swim upstream in the spring. It is so serene and great environment to "recharge" one's batteries. I hope to visit again soon!

I was blown away by the staff - they were working so hard and always asking me if I needed anything. I have never had anything but great service at White Pines, but this was outstanding! Christena	My Husband and I stayed at the pines in april 2007, it was perfect. So romantic and the weather was beautiful. What also made this weekend so incredible, my husband proposed. We had a lovely dinner that night, where the waitstaff was wonderful, then he took me to a concert and had the band ask will you marry me on their back drop. When we returned to our cabin he had champagne and flowers waiting for me. The next day I showed off my amazing engagement ring at the restaurant and the staff was genuinely happy for us. We will be returning this October and every year after that. Thank you!!

Bill & Wilma Lindsey	In July my husband and i brought 60 people to White Pines for the buffet breakfast. We had ridded our motorcycles down there. I just wanted to let you know, that your staff was so friendly and courteous to us. They did an excellet job of serving us. Everyone in our party was very imprseed. Laura Person	This was our second visit, and once again we loved the place. Saw Scrooge and it was fabulous, the food was yummy, service wonderful, the ladies at the restaurant provided wonderful service. Already planning our third visit, this time hoping to bring my best friend and her husband. I want them to experience the same magic we have.

delainy	my bff and i came here last summer and stayed in cabin 22. we loved riding our bikes to the store to visit Max. The staff was very nice. we are writing stories about white pines and we will bring them next year.
