My husband Kerry and I spent last night at the Inn (May 24th), what a fabulous place. Cabin was great, food was delightful and the quiet was much needed. We will be back and will recommend this place to many.

I just got back from a heavenly four day, three night stay in the White Pines Cabins. As always, it was perfect. From the friendliness of the staff to the fun of playing with Max to the wonder of having the park pretty much to myself to the coziness of my wonderful cabin, everything was just excellent. I got married at the Pines and go back at least once a year. It never disappoints and I can see my family and I spending visiting there until the only trail I can go on is the wheelchair accessible one! It is truly a magical place where time stands still.

Wife Sarah and I stayed over two nights in one of the cabins, saw a play, had good food and drinks at the lodge, fished in Pine Creek, and hiked around the beautiful grounds. We had a full two and a half days and plan to return. Thank you for a great time.

Beth, Thank you so much for all your help throughout the year. Everbody had a great time. There were so many compliments on how beautiful the canyon was. I was also told alot that the food was great. I know that White Pines will be one of my favorite spots to stay from now on. Our whole day was great even with the weather.
Thanks again,

Dear Beth,
It would be serioulsly remiss if we did not follow up on our reunion outing at the Pines last month. There are insufficient words to express our tremendous satisfaction with the quality of service and food provided by you and your staff.
Commencing with our attendace at the "Wonder Women" production and luncheon and concluding with our picnic in the park on Friday, September 22, we found everything to our liking and satisfaction. You and your wonderful staff performed way above what is normally expected and for this, we can only say thank you so very much.
Please pass along to your staff our sincere expression of apreciation for all they did to make our 55th reunion a success. I think I speak for the rest of the class in stating that the Pines will be among the top choices for our 60th reunion in 2011.

Dear Beth and Rachel,
I want to thank you for making my daughter's wedding day so very special and unforgettable. Everything was absolutely perfect. The ceremony in the canyon was wonderful. Many of our guest gave compliments and praise to Reverend Bob. The horse carriage was like a fairytale. I can't say enough about the wonderful reception at the lodge. You all did a wonderful job and I heard many people say that this was one of the most beautiful weddings they have been to. Many thanks again to you and your staff for making my daughter's fairytale wedding come true.

My daughter was married in the Canyon and the reception was at the Inn. The day was very hot - upper 90\'s but Beth and her crew made every thing perfect. The site, flowers, cake and photographer where arranged through Beth and we couldn\'t have asked for a more professional crew. The flowers and cake were beautiful - looked just like may daughter had described to Beth. Steve Eykamp was phenominal. He ran all day in the canyon and then stayed until after midnight for the reception. He was constantly shooting film and if they are half as good as he was professional that day we will have a lifetime of photo memories. Beth, you are wonderful and you were so helpful throughout this whole process. Because of you, my daughters day went perfect. We thank you and hope to come and stay in the cabins again. The cabins were just another little detail that made the day perfect. We could stay there and relax (a little) and not have to drive 1-2 hours to get to the Wedding.

Everything was wonderful and perfect and I would recommend this to anyone planning a wedding.
Thankyou.

We recently rented the sweetheart cabin for 1 night because it was available for only 1 night. We could have stayed a whole week if time would have allowed. We had a very relaxing, beautiful stay and won't hesitate to recommend this place to anybody. We are, in fact, coming back for Thanksgiving with son, Grandma and Grandpa for a 2 night stay. Thanks again.

August 12th, 2010 - Cabin #8
This is an ironic love story that spans 60 years and we felt the need to share.
We are celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary - imagine! We were married 60 years ago in the village of Ashton which is about 28 miles from the Pines. In those days Hotels and Motels were not very common in this area so where to spend a honeymoon? As high school sweethearts; we spent many fun times here at the park and remembered the "cabins". So Bud called and made the reservations, explaining that we would be having a large 7:00 wedding and it would be late when we would arrive. The clerk said, "not to worry", the key to our cabin would be put behind the mirror in the mens' rest room at the main lodge, and it was! We awoke the next morning to lots of giggling! Of course it was obvious that we were honeymooners with the car decorated parked next to the cabin.
Twenty-five years later we found ourselves celebrating our anniversary in the Philippines with the Air Force.
In 2000 for our 50th anniversary we were able to return to Ashton and decided to once again celebrate by coming back to the Pines. A call was made and once again explained that with large open house and dinner after, we would be late in arriving. Again the clerk said, "not to worry", the key would be in a white envelope taped to the door of the office at the main lodge. And it was! Some things never change and then some do. We awoke much earlier, no decorated car and no giggling.
Bud is a CMS USAF retired and we now live a place called Niceville, Florida but "home" will always be in beautiful Northern Illinois. Being so blessed at the ages of 79 and 80, we were able to return once again to celebrate our 60th anniversary. The change this time was when Bud called to make the reservations, the clerk assured us that the "cabins" were available - in fact there were two, one regular and one "sweetheart". Without missing a beat, Bud said that "oh, the regular one would be just fine that he would have his sweetheart with him." This time around we arrived much earlier, in time for a really nice dinner at the lodge which to our utter amazement was complimentary. What a place!
Thanks White Pines State Park for remaining the same quaint, quiet, and peaceful place in this every changing world and making these anniversaries so special for us.

P.S. God willing, we will return for our 70th anniversary. Keep the light on!

Hello. My wife and I were part of the group mg car group at lunch today. I wanted to tell you that we thought the luncheon buffet was fabulout! I especially liked the pork cutlet with its pineapple flavoring, and the hot rhubarb dessert was very very good. My wife liked the potato and cheese dish, and the crispy onion wings were done just right. Your organization did a great job and we will be back there again!
