Located in Grand Detour, Illinois, you'll find the original homestead of John Deere. Visitors will see the archeological site of John Deere's original shop. a working blacksmith shop, John Deere's hom, a unique gift shop and a natural prairie as it existed a century ago. Informed guides provide entertaining and educational tours. The John Deere Historic Site is opne daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 1 to November 30. Special group tours can be arranged during the winter months. Admission is $3.00 for visitors over 12 years old.
